The Big Worle Showbiz Choir

Big Worle Showbiz Choir launched on 6th June 2013

A fantastic evening was held at Becket Primary School on 6th June 2013.

Join ChoirBig Worle Showbiz Choir is a community choir. It is intended to provide a resource and musical stimulus to the Worle area. The background of our Music Director, Bob Gibbons, is musical theater. It is music and songs from the popular shows such as Les Miserables that will be the focus of the choirs repertoire.

Choir rehearsals will be held every Thursday Evening at Becket Primary School from 7.30-9.30pm

We had such fun at the launch of the BigWorle Showbiz launch – with over 70 people attending to support the event. An amazing turnout. Thanks to everyone who attended.

Please make sure that you attend regularly. The choir has been created to attract and develop singing skills from people of all abilities within the Worle Area. 

A big thank you to Bob Gibbons, Stuart Laird and Bill the accompanist. They made a wonderful trio and were a fantastic ‘act’ together.

All are welcome – no experience needed!

That’s right – You don’t have to have any experience, just an interest in singing and music –  and a desire to be involved in something new and exciting.

Stuart Laird who is a resident of Worle, is setting up this fantastic event with Bob Gibbons (Ex-Headteacher of Becket School). We want to have fun, we want to be a star; look out here we come!”

The  Big Worle Showbiz Choir is a community choir. It was started by and is run by residents of Worle.

The choir will perform a concert at the Blakehay Theatre in early 2014.

These events are held every Thursday Evening at Becket Primary School, Worle, Weston-super-Mare. BS22 6DH. So come along, and find out about the choir and other showbiz ways you can get involved. We promise you warm welcome: What have you got to lose?
